Beginnings
In 2018, Alejandro Villatoro conceived the initial idea of what would become an inspiring initiative: Aliento de Luz.
Impulsado por un profundo compromiso con el bienestar de las personas más vulnerables, Villatoro dio inicio a este proyecto temporal con sus propios recursos financieros y un espíritu lleno de entusiasmo. El proyecto duró unos meses y después finalizó.
2024
For the second time, Villatoro conceived the idea of recreating a project similar to Aliento de Luz. This project, which was also temporary, took a step forward by formalizing as an official non-profit entity under the name Zafirus
This change in status not only represented a new chapter but also an opportunity to expand its reach and effectiveness. With donor support and additional resources, Zafirus brought aid to many Hondurans while it was active.

Our most recent project, Nicefer ORG, has been established as permanent so the mission of previous temporary projects becomes a lasting reality.
