Origins
In 2018, Alejandro Villatoro conceived the initial idea for what would become an inspiring initiative: Aliento de Luz. Driven by a deep commitment to the well-being of the most vulnerable, Villatoro launched this temporary project with his own financial resources and a spirit full of enthusiasm. The project lasted several months before coming to an end.
2024
For the second time, Villatoro conceived the idea of recreating a project similar to Aliento de Luz. This project, which was also temporary, took a step forward by formalizing as an official non-profit entity under the name Zafirus
This change in status represented not only a new chapter but also an opportunity to expand its reach and effectiveness. With the support of donors and additional resources, Zafirus provided aid to many Hondurans during its operation.
Our Team
Our latest project, Nicefer ORG, has been established as a permanent entity to ensure that the mission of previous temporary projects remains a lasting reality.
